Edmonton → Saskatoon — Our Saskatchewan Gateway

523 km on the Yellowhead Highway. Saskatoon is our most common Saskatchewan drop-point and a stepping stone for Regina, Prince Albert, and the Battlefords.

Route & Timing

The Yellowhead Highway (Hwy 16) runs straight from Edmonton to Saskatoon. 523 km, about 5.5 hours solo drive time. With mandatory breaks and load-up time, our standard Saskatoon delivery is an overnight run — leave Edmonton mid-day, overnight in Lloydminster (255 km), drop in Saskatoon the next morning by 11am.

Free Delivery Zone — Saskatoon Qualifies

Saskatoon is 523 km road-distance from our Edmonton warehouse, well within the 888 km free-delivery radius. No freight surcharge, no hidden line items. Price on the product page is what you pay.

Saskatoon as a Sub-Hub

From Saskatoon we routinely extend delivery to:

All of these destinations are also inside the free-delivery zone from Edmonton, so the same pricing applies. The routing just changes.

Saskatchewan-Specific Prep

Your driveway approach needs to accommodate a 53' trailer. Most RM gravel roads are fine but the last 200 m into a farmyard can be tight — check that your yard turnaround has at least 80' of clear ground for the driver to swing. If you're in a low-lying area, make sure the approach is dry; our trucks don't like muddy loam in spring runoff.

Winter Delivery

We run Saskatoon deliveries year-round. Winter operation (November through March) adds one consideration: our driver stops at every Chain Up warning sign, which slows transit by 2–4 hours on a bad weather day. If there's a Hwy 16 closure (rare but not unknown during Arctic outflow events), your delivery moves to the next clear day. We communicate proactively if that happens.

For Regina and southern SK see the Prairies region page. For Manitoba routing see the Edmonton-to-Winnipeg route.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does delivery to Saskatoon actually take?

Typically 3–5 business days from kit availability in our warehouse. The run itself is an overnight truck. The rest is scheduling — we group Saskatoon deliveries to fill a truck efficiently rather than running half-empty.

Can you combine my Saskatoon delivery with a drop in Regina?

Yes, if the timing aligns. Ask when you order. We regularly multi-stop SK runs, and it saves us fuel without adding to your price (because both stops are in the free zone).

What's the surcharge to go from Saskatoon to Regina?

Zero if we're already running that route on a given week. Regina is inside our free zone. If you need a dedicated truck on a specific date that we'd otherwise not schedule, we'd have to quote a spot rate, but that's unusual.

Do you stop in Lloydminster on the way?

Lloydminster is our typical overnight. We've dropped buildings in Lloydminster proper and the surrounding area regularly. If you're near there, the route is efficient for us.
